Our fire Risk Assessments are based on the PAS 79 templates and are comprehensive. Included are items that are often overlooked, such as occupancy factors and comment on external walls.

Whether for new or existing  buildings, in whole or in part, NJL will work with you to create a strategy that supports the use that you need from your building.

An FRA can often make the requirement for more in depth surveys to confirm the suitability of a fire strategy or confirmation of the fire resistance of the building.  Similarly, a number of issues found with fire doors, may require a survey of all doors to confirm their suitability, either as a standard or from wear & tear.

This is a new legislative requirement from 6th April 2026. It does not require fire specialists, but your staff will need training. They need to be able to identify hazards and risk for vulnerable people and produce suitable evacuation plans.

The practical use of fire extinguishers in a training scenario is vital to ensure the correct, safe and CONFIDENT use in the event of a fire. NJL use a environmentally friendly lpg training rig to simulate live fire training across a number of scenarios.

With a vast array of experience in operational fire service,  legislative enforcement and experience in housing, there is very little that can not be catered for in relation to fire safety requirements. There are strict requirements around competency and you should obtain this so you can evidence due diligence.
